The 2025 Annual Rollingwood HOA membership meeting was held Thursday, October 30 in the Peninsula Library Community room. There were 19 people in attendance including 4 guests from Cal Water and five Board Members.
The guest speakers from Cal Water were Agustin Baeza, Operations Manager, Kimberly Caballero, regional Public Affairs Program Manager and Renzo Ayala, Superintendent for Rancho Dominguez. District Manager Ralph Felix joined later in the meeting.
Cal Water purchases it's water from the West Basin Municipal Water District which in turn purchases water from the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California. All of the water is imported from the Colorado River and the northern Sierra. Nothing is added to the water purchased but it undergoes over 500 tests to ensure its safety.
Cal Water conducts annual training in emergency response. Fire hydrants are inspected annually and undergo comprehensive maintenance every 5 years. The water system has multiple redundancies including generators at pumping stations and a new second pipeline feeding the reservoir at the top of the hill. There are also new Helicopter dip tanks, installed in order to quickly fill helicopters used to support fire fighting.
Following the presentation the Rollingwood HOA board proceeded with the business meeting. Each of the board members introduced themselves along with a brief statement of their role and responsiblities and accomplisments over the preceeding year.
Three Board members were re-elected for a new 2-year term: Judy Bayer, President; Doug Wickstrom, Vice-President and Linda Cummings, secretary. There were no other nominations and all three were elected by unanimous voice vote.
